Cast Change: Hector Sandoval sings Cavaradossi

Owing to illness, Aleksandrs Antoņenko has regrettably been compelled to cancel his appearance in the performance of Tosca on 2 April 2018. The tenor Hector Sandoval has kindly agreed to take on the role of Mario Cavaradossi.

Hector Sandoval began his musical training in his native Mexico City, and later continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and with renowned singers such as Plácido Domingo, Ileana Cotrubaș, Walter Berry, Chris Merritt and Francisco Araiza. Sandoval has been engaged by numerous opera houses in Europe and America. In 2008 he gave his debut at the Bregenz Festival in the role of Cavaradossi. He has also sung Radamès (Aida) and the title role in Andrea Chénier at the Vienna State Opera.
