Tenor Sebastian Kohlhepp received his first musical training at the local boys’ choir of the city of Limburg. After his vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main, permanent engagements followed at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Vienna State Opera and the Stuttgart State Opera. He has been a freelance singer since the 2017/18 season and has made guest appearances at the Semperoper Dresden, the Theater an der Wien and the Bavarian State Opera, among others. His repertoire includes Mozart roles such as Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) Ferrando (Così fan tutte) and Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) but also the role of Jason (Medée), and the role of David (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), with which he debuted at the Salzburg Easter Festival in 2019.
