The Eliette and Herbert von Karajan Institute cultivates the artistic and musical heritage of Herbert von Karajan, the founder of the Salzburg Easter Festival
The Karajan Institute is a partner of the 2017 Salzburg Easter Festival. In addition to the spectacular recreation of Richard Wagner's Opera Die Walküre from 1967 there will also be an unique exhibition about the history of the festival at the Salzburg Museum. In addition, the Easter Festival together with the Karajan Institute will host the Symposium Musical reception and the digital revolution. Classical Music & Technology Conference on April 13th. Within the frame of this event newest technologies will be presented.
Patrons of the Salzburg Easter Festival get free entrance to the art, antiques and design fair ART&ANTIQUE Residenz Salzburg, which takes place every year at Easter. Moreover Patrons from the Vienna region get free entrance to the respective fair in Vienna, the ART&ANTIQUE Hofburg Vienna.
Members of the Ö1 Club (the Club of Austria’s public cultural radio station) receive 10% discount for the Chamber Concerts and can buy tickets for the Kinderkonzert (Children’s Concert) at the reduced price of € 5,–.
European Youth Card Austria
Holders of the European Youth Card Austria are entitled to buy subscriptions in category VI at € 170,– and tickets in category IV at € 5,– for the Chamber Concerts.
