South African soprano Golda Schultz studied vocal performance at the University of Cape Town and at The Juilliard School in New York. From 2011 to 2013 she was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera, from 2014 to 2018 she was a member of the ensemble there. Guest engagements have taken her to the Metro politan Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Teatro alla Scala, the Zurich Opera House, as well as to the BBC Proms and to the festivals in Salzburg, Glyndebourne, Edinburgh and Verbier. Her repertoire includes roles such as Contessa d’Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Micaëla (Carmen), Nannetta (Falstaff), Clara (Porgy and Bess) and Liù (Turandot). Golda Schultz is an ambassador for the “Opera for Peace” initiative.
