Ticket Sales

The conditions of ordering tickets and ticket prices are applicable according to the relevant valid price list (preliminary brochure). Ticket orders for the following year can be submitted during the Easter Festival while it is taking place. Orders are to be addressed in written form, by order form, fax or by e-mail to the Ticket Office of the Salzburg Easter Festival, Herbert von Karajan Platz 9, 5020 Salzburg, Austria.

Fax: 0043 662 8045790; e-mail: karten@ofs-sbg.at

Seats for wheelchair users have to be ordered separately because of the reduced contingent of available tickets.

Invoices will be sent out in written form, by fax or by e-mail at the earliest in July. The handling fees at present amount to € 11 per invoice for Austria and Germany; for all other countries € 22.

Invoices can be settled by making a bank transfer (details about the account into which payments are to be made are stated on the invoice), in cash, by debit card (Maestro) as well as by credit card (Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Master Card, JCB).

Tickets are sent out (in principle only after payment has been made) at the earliest at the beginning of October; tickets which have already been paid for can, however, also be collected earlier from the Ticket Office of the Salzburg Easter Festival. On request, tickets which have been paid for can also be collected at a later time from the Ticket Office or during the Easter Festival from the evening Box Office in the Grosses Festspielhaus. The evening Box Office is open one hour before the beginning of the performance.

Changes in orders are only free of charge before payment has been made; afterwards changes can only be recognised on the basis of a re-sale on commission.

As a service for all patrons of the Salzburg Easter Festival tickets can be taken back and re-sold on commission; no guarantee is given and a commission fee of 10% is charged. In general only original tickets can be taken on commission; payment is made at the end of the Easter Festival. Changes in the cast and programme do not given any entitlement to return tickets.

If tickets are lost, the Ticket Office tries where possible to provide duplicates. These can be collected on the day of the performance from the Ticket Office of the Salzburg Easter Festival or from the evening Box Office.

Tickets may not be sold on for more than the face value. It is also prohibited to engage in commercial trading of tickets without the prior permission of the Salzburg Easter Festival.

General

By acquiring a ticket the visitor accepts the house regulations of the relevant venue used by the Salzburg Easter Festival.

If concerts and operas are broadcast or televised, the Salzburg Easter Festival reserves the right to change the seating order and allocate the visitor other (equivalent or better) seats, if enjoyment of the performance from the seat originally booked is marred. In consideration for the artists and the audience, people who arrive late will not be admitted to the auditorium until the interval.

Visitors to the Salzburg Easter Festival are requested to dress in accordance with the festive character of the occasion.

The fee for the cloakroom in the foyer of the Grosses Festspielhaus is already included in the ticket price.

If authorised TV- or video-recordings are made, ticket-holders express their agreement to possible inclusion of their person in film material. At all performances of the Salzburg Easter Festival visitors are not allowed to make any kind of picture or sound recordings.

Austrian law is applicable; the place of jurisdiction is the relevant court of the regional capital city of Salzburg.
